Coffee in Roncy — the best cafés in Roncesvalles Village.

A café-lined street in Roncesvalles Village

When the conversation turns to the best coffee in west-end Toronto, Roncesvalles is always in it.

Whether you love a long latte or a straight espresso, the quality of the coffee — and the cafés — in Roncesvalles is hard to beat. We're not here to crown a single neighbourhood, but we will happily share our favourite spots along the strip. So, agree with us or not, here is our two cents on the best cafés in Roncesvalles Village.

Cherry Bomb Coffee

Down near the southern end of the strip at 79 Roncesvalles Avenue, Cherry Bomb is one of the neighbourhood's most popular cafés — just look for the morning line. Its motto, "we love what we brew," shows in the coffee, but the baked goods are the real draw, and the famous croissants tend to sell out. Get there early; doors open at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays, 8 a.m. on weekends.

I DEAL Coffee

Tucked one street east of the bustle of Roncesvalles Avenue at 221 Sorauren Avenue, I DEAL Coffee is a local roaster with real character — far from a franchise. Steps from Charles G. Williams Park and Sorauren Avenue Park, it's an easy place to grab a coffee to go or settle in. Their fresh-roasted blends and everyday treats keep regulars coming back.

AM Coffee Studio

Up at the northern end toward Bloor, at 2233 Dundas Street West, AM Coffee Studio is worth the walk. Part café and bakery, part flower shop, part wellness studio, it's built around community wellbeing — a friendly, welcoming spot for a genuinely good coffee. Quirky in the best way, and one of the area's most celebrated small businesses.
